Alright, so I seriously wasn’t going to write anything about the Buffalo Bills trading Kiko Alonso to the Philadelphia for LeSean McCoy until I could properly think the whole situation through. First things first, I don’t like to report on breaking news that the whole sporting world is talking about, we don’t fancy ourselves as a “late breaking news” site and I would much rather let the rest of the animals in that jungle go at each others throats.
As much as I had my opinion about the move, I like to just sit back and truly think things through before I go off on a tangent about how stupid or smart I think my football team is. As you are about to see though, not everybody follows the same path in rationalizing their teams decisions. As I sat here trying to come up with reason’s why I should look at this trade in a positive light (I’m a huge Kiko fan just like a shit ton of you Bills fans) I was tweeted this video by my good friend @KINGOtheparty….
Now this dude is pissed! Pissed is somehow an understatement, he appears as though he needs to literally strangle somebody while he cries his eyes out. He is emotional on level’s we may never again see from a football fan, saying things like “where my knife at? I’m cutting my god damn throat” and perhaps my favorite insult of the year “you pink ass winnie the pooh looking bitch”.
It was after I watched the reaction of this Philly fan that I truly realized how great of a move this might of been for Buffalo. After the success our defense had last season without Kiko even in the lineup, that showed that as great of a player Alonso is we can survive and even excel without him. Now take that very same player that contributed nothing towards one of the best defenses in the NFL last season and trade him for one of the best running backs in the league? As much as we love Kiko, how do you pass up on that? We all have been saying this whole time that we need to get better on offense, well with this move and the signing of Ritchie Incognito last month, I’d say we are a hell of a lot better on offense already.
Take a good hard look at the reaction of this Eagles fan, that should show you that the Bills managed to take a player away from another team who’s fans feel they cannot live without. Meanwhile we lived without Kiko for a full season and by no means did our defense seem to fall off in the least bit. Of course with deals like this the only true test is time, and we will eventually find out if this was a great move for either team, but at least in the meantime we can entertain ourselves with this awesome reaction from the Eagles fans.
